The Stragglers Landscapes The old rusty winch wasI personally think one of the nicer locations in the country to paint is the Peak District in North Derbyshire. On a painting trip to the area, I came across this wonderful scene. It was a cloudless day and very hot. The image represents a very rare painting where I haven't painted any clouds at all. I had to convey the impression of heat on the day. (I really don't know why there was smoke coming out of the chimney.) The impression of heat was
