Description

Only part of the estate was returned after the 1974 revolution but it is still family-owned and the grapes still hand-picked and foot-trodden in open-top fermenters or lagares

This very attractive and keenly priced example is made by true perfectionist Hervé Dubourdieu from his 13 hectare Graville-Lacoste estate (one of three properties owned by the family in Graves and Sauternes)

Vincent Girardin exists today as one of the smaller Burgundy negociant houses

This very fine 56 hectare estate is based at La Manella (with 8ha of Brunello vines in the Manella vineyard)

'Uvaggio' Coste della Sesia, Proprieta Sperino 2020 Region_Casablanca Valley Only part of the estateA northern Italian gem from Proprieta Sperino, a 7. 7ha estate in the Coste della Sesia hills of Piemonte given a new lease of life when inherited by Paolo De Marchi, owner of renowned Chianti producer Isole e Olena. Principally Nebbiolo blended with Vespolina and Croatina (the latter more common in Lombardy). Ferrous and earth scented, with a kiss of sweet cherry plum fruit and plenty of fine, supple tannin, somewhere between a Barolo and a Burgundy.
