Quercus macrocarpa - Bur Oak fruit Originating from wet woodland areasA large deciduous tree growing up to 30m, and sometimes in optimal conditions 50m, in height, and is one of the most massive oaks with a trunk diameter of up to 3 m. It has a very distinctive leaves with lobes separated by deep sinuses and a very prominent crown at the tip. Acorns of this species, distinguished by very deep fringed cups, are quite large for oaks.
