Two required to replace both 3rd and 4th. The synchromesh is a common item for failing on the M32 gearbox. A worn faulty synchro will cause crunching and grinding sound when badly damaged. This results in damage to the gear and hub as well. The Gen 1 & 2 M32 uses a different tooth cut and synchromesh design.
