The watch was designed to withstand the harsh environment of a military airplane - it was constructed in such a way as to shield the mechanism from the strong magnetic fields which were present: the dial is made of iron and considerably thicker than that found on a regular watch

This is a Universal Geneve Polerouter made around 1964

The dial is in excellent condition with no significant losses and the original metallic printing in the Roman numerals still glints as it catches the light

This Mars themed watch was designed by Print Artist, and also our Senior Print Technician, Paul Wardski. Far Out was inspired by the Perseverance rover that landed on Mars, and the extraordinary footage that it sent back to Earth.
