夏季澆水也要適度，遵循「少量多次」的原則，土壤不要過黏、過濕，否則雙線竹芋容易爛根，遭受病害。氣溫較低的時候，要保持土壤的乾燥，避免雙線竹芋被凍傷。

先準備大約500毫升的水，平均地向整盆泥土進行澆水，若盆底出現積水即代表盆栽得到充份的水份，下次可減少水量以免出現大量積水；相反，如果盆底沒出現積水便需增加水量，調整水量到每次澆水後底盤出現最少積水。底盤上多餘的水份需進行清理，以免滋生蚊蟲。
