This is a lovely example of Smiths 1960s output - a 9 carat gold dress watch

but this one is much more wearable than the smaller versions which Smiths also produced (in 29mm and 31mm diameter)

Smiths for Garrard (1961) DA26 There are a few lightThis is an English made Smiths watch in a heavy Dennison Aquatite waterproof gold case. The case is hallmarked for 1961 at the Birmingham Assay office and the watch has a presentation inscription on the back from the same year. The watch case is in simply outstanding condition I don't think I have ever handled one with less wear. The edges are all crisp and the watch was clearly worn very sparingly. I believe the strap is also the original one it was
